On 26 September 2024, Validaide and SkyCell proudly hosted the third edition of the Digital Cold Chain Forum – Shaping the Future of Pharma Logistics. The event gathered leading industry experts to discuss the future of pharmaceutical logistics through a day of dynamic workshops, panel discussions, inspiring presentations, and invaluable networking opportunities.
The forum provided an excellent platform for learning and collaboration, with insightful contributions from our esteemed speakers, addressing key challenges and innovations in the sector.

Morning Session:
The event kicked off with a panel discussion on Digital Collaboration for Lane Risk Assessments, featuring Astrid Thorissen (Yusen Logistics), Andy Faes (Expeditors), and Ruben van Duijvenvoorde (Quality Assurance Consultant). Their discussion underscored the importance of enhanced digital tools such as Validaide in managing supply chain risks.
Following this, Chiara Venuti from Marken delivered a compelling presentation on Cold Chain Product Transfers, shedding light on best practices and emerging trends.
Andrea Muñoz from SkyCell then introduced SkyMind, an innovative decarbonization tool, while also sharing valuable insights on the role of Sustainability in Pharma Logistics.
Midday Session:
In the second part of the event, Eelco de Jong, Co-founder and Managing Director of Validaide led a presentation and workshop on Trends in Digitalization. Attendees actively participated in group discussions, exchanging ideas on how digital trends are reshaping the industry and uncovering their benefits.
The session also included an engaging panel discussion with industry leaders, featuring Arnon Lopes (JAS Worldwide), Ana Martinez Lozano (MSD), and Serena Toto (Validaide), providing a deeper dive into the real-world applications of digitalization.
Afternoon Session:
The event concluded with an engaging panel on Joint GDP Audits, with Martin Stratmann (DB Schenker), Rashmi Karnad (Qatar Airways), and Veronica Padilla (Qualifyze). Attendees participated in a hands-on workshop that fostered knowledge-sharing and collaboration on best practices for joint audits.
This year’s Digital Cold Chain Forum successfully brought together pharmaceutical manufacturers, freight forwarders, air carriers, packaging providers, and logistics companies. The discussions highlighted the growing significance of digitalization in modern pharma logistics.
